Oppose the GOP’s Attempt to Repeal the Individual Mandate
Every Republican attempt to the repeal the Affordable Care Act failed. This was not a surprise considering Republicans insisted on writing their own health care legislation in secret, without any input from Democrats or the public.
When Americans stood up and made it known they would not support a plan that cost millions of people their health insurance — Republicans should have listened.
They didn’t. Senate Republicans moved onto tax reform, but their strategy is the same. The GOP’s tax plan was cooked up without any bipartisan negotiations or public hearings.
And now Republicans’ have stuffed in a provision that repeals the ACA’s individual mandate.
